We are proud to be ranked among New Zealand’s very best emergency management practitioners.
We have a proven track record in minimising business loss and ensuring production continuity through risk reduction, readiness for and execution of emergency response, and expeditious emergency recovery.
A highly trained team
Every operational member of EMS has a very high level of training as a minimum standard, enabling them to respond to emergencies in fire, hazardous substances, medical and security. Training, up-skilling and practise is an everyday, ongoing commitment.
These qualifications include:
- National Certificate Urban Fire & Rescue Operations Level 3
- Pre-Hospital Emergency Care
- National Certificate Security Level 2
Alan, Bob and the EMS team pride themselves on being highly skilled emergency response professionals and pragmatic, ‘roll-up-your-sleeves’ individuals.
We are committed to responsible business practices based on our values, policies and guidelines that are an important part of the way we work every day.We are also committed to contributing to and working closely with the communities in which we operate. We remain sensitive to the needs of local community and aware that how we operate affects the lives and livelihoods of those around us.
Many of our men and women come from the local community, and we proudly employ volunteer fire fighters.
In Tokoroa, where our team provide 24/7 emergency management services at Kinleith Mill, we are often first on the scene in community emergencies, such as road crashes on the busy highways that surround the town. We extend our security patrols to cover smaller businesses in the outlying area, and happily assist community organisations when asked.
Qualified to work with you
NZQA Accredited Training Providers
ITW Ltd is NZQA accredited to deliver a wide range of emergency response and health and safety training programmes.
Contractor Prequalification New Zealand (CPNZ) is our country’s new pan-industry ‘seal of approval’ for contractors. New Zealand’s captains of industry now insist on CPNZ pre-qualification.
Contractors entering the sites of the CPNZ group of companies must be CPNZ pre-qualified. EMS was the first emergency response company in New Zealand to be pre-qualified to the new CPNZ best-practise standard, and achieved a very high CPNZ score.
Alan Mycroft is an Independent Qualified Professional (IQP), giving EMS the ability to inspect, check, test and certify building specified systems listed on the building compliance schedule – such as fire detection systems, sprinkler systems etc. IQPs are also qualified to issue a Building Warrant of Fitness.
